Drooping mouth corners can make the face ‘appear sad’, tired and angry. Botulinum toxin can be used to depress the DAO (depressor anguli oris) muscles which run from the corner of the mouth down to the chin. The DAO muscle gets stronger with age, and so botulinum toxin is often used alongside other treatments such as dermal fillers, to help reduce the appearance of these lines.
